About this machine.

YSD, the manufacturing company for LVD Belgium, have developed, using technology and experience gained from LVD, a range of press brakes and guillotines that have some of the best design features and componentry in their class. These machines, primarily developed for the European market, incorporate internationally sourced components to achieve the stability, accuracy, reliability and performance expected in quality machinery. The press frames have been designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, to ensure the minimum acceptable distortion under maximum load. The side frames are fully welded to the bottom beam creating a solid steel structure and the result is an extremely rigid frame. The frame is made of high tensile Q345D/ST52 steel which is stress relieved after welding.

The YSD PPEC series is the next step up in the YSD range and offers many upgrades and benefits not seen in the popular YSD PPTK series. The PPEC165/32 hybrid servo-hydraulic press brake offers many advanced features making it stand out from many other press brakes. A few of these advantages are highlighted below:

Hybrid servo-hydraulic system is where the hydraulic pump is driven by a servo motor that is only running when the upper beam is moving. This results in faster approach and retract speeds and a quieter working environment with significant energy saving. Additionally the hydraulic oil runs cooler and lasts longer.

LVD Proportional servo valve system uses linear scale feedback at each end of the press brake to proportion the correct amount of oil to each cylinder. This ensures accuracy of the beam parallelism and even positioning at each end of the press brake. This is a big advantage over a mechanical torsion bar and is a true Y1 / Y2 system.

R Axis enables the back gauge to follow the programmed profile up and down automatically following the profile during the folding process.

V Axis enables the controller to automatically compensate for deflection in the centre of the press brake as the required tonnage increases with thicker materials. The crowning table consists of two high-precision wedges integrated into the table, offering very accurate and continuous crowning compensation across the total bending length, which compensates for natural deformation as pressing tonnages increase.

5 Axis Graphical Programming on the YSD 58T controller allows the user to simply draw a 2 dimensional component. You select the tooling and the controller will then automatically calculate the amount of compensation required to produce accurate final dimensions in relation to the type of material, thickness and length of the material.

YSD use a rigid lightweight aluminium alloy profile for the back gauge cross beam, which offers high reliability without deformation due to low internal stress.
