Features
- Was removed from a fully functioning machine in a working situation.
- Optical protection (dual-laser / block laser field)
- Continuous optical detection zone below the punch tip. Detects obstructions to prevent injury.
- Mute point setup
- The system detects the material position (or tool opening) and lets the operator confirm the "mute point", a safe gap where the optical protection is partially muted to allow forming. It also monitors material thickness and changes.
- Real-time machine speed & stopping distance monitoring The system continuously monitors machine speed and stopping distance, helping ensure the press brake can stop safely once the optical protection is triggered.
- Quick adjust / tool change friendly hardware
- Brackets or mounts that allow the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) to be moved or temporarily cleared easily during tool changes.
- Retrofit capability
- Many models in the Sentinel / Defender family are designed so they can be fitted to existing press brakes (not just new machines) so long as the mechanical mounting and safety compliance is acceptable.
