Product overview

About this machine.

The Optimum Dead Centre is a precision-ground, fixed support for lathe workpieces used in tailstock or headstock applications. Machined from hardened tool steel (commonly around 60 HRC), it maintains a 60 degree centre point angle ideally suited for accurate work between centres and extended turning tasks Available in steel or carbide-tipped versions, both types are guaranteed to maintain concentricity within 0.0002" (5 micron total indicated runout) with carbide tips specifically selected for enhanced wear resistance, longer life, and reduced friction during rotation

Optimum Maschinen is a respected German company known for manufacturing high-quality machine tools built to strict European standards. Since its founding in 2003, Optimum has become a trusted name in the metalworking industry, offering a wide range of equipment including metal lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinding tools.
