The Luxcut PSG-820,2A is a Taiwanese manufactured, precision surface grinder with hydraulic longitudinal and crossfeed. The flange mounted spindle provides high precision, good rigidity and low maintenance operation. The main machine components are made from high quality cast iron, giving the machine good stability, rigidity and vibration damping. The column uses a high quality design with generous clearance from the spindle to the table, providing extra room under the grinding wheel. The column construction has good torsional rigidity and helps maintain cutting performance. The table and saddle ways are precision hand scraped and coated with Turcite B, providing smooth, accurate movement and long term consistency. The automatic lubrication system provides metered lubrication to all lubrication points, reducing maintenance and helping to extend the life of the slideways. The optional rapid elevation motor allows quick positioning of the grinding wheel and head. The Z axis rapid feed also allows the wheel to be positioned quickly, while the Z axis handwheel provides 0.002 mm of vertical movement per graduation for accurate adjustment. An independent hydraulic system and oil tank help reduce heat build up and prevent hydraulic vibration from being transferred to the machine. The control panel is conveniently positioned and simple to operate. Grinding cycles can be set using the pre set controls. The optional electromagnetic chuck is supplied with a control box that allows the clamping force to be adjusted to suit the size of the workpiece and the accuracy required. For operator safety, the machine uses a 24V control circuit, keeping the high voltage circuits away from the operator controls.
