The Optimum DH55G is the most heavy duty of our, high capacity, column mounted geared head drill built for industrial environments and demanding workshop use. With its robust cast iron construction and hardened, precision ground main spindle, the DH55G delivers smooth, high torque performance ideal for large diameter drilling tasks and extended duty operation. The oversized, heavy-duty worktable travels on a rack and pinion system, tilts plus or minus 60 degrees, rotates a full 360 degrees around the column, and supports workpieces up to 350kg. Supplied with a 16mm keyless drill chuck and arbor (not shown in photos), the DH55G is well suited for professional metalworking, production work, and any application requiring power, rigidity, and drilling accuracy on a larger scale.

- Large 600 x 600 mm precision machined work table with 3 parallel 18 mm T-slots, tilting +/-90 degrees, rotating 360 degrees around the column, and rack and pinion height adjustment for versatile setups
- Large solid base with integrated T-slots for direct mounting of large components
- Sealed oil-bath lubricated gearbox with hardened and ground gears for durability and low maintenance, including automatic lubrication
- Integrated depth stop with millimeter scale, automatic spindle ejector for quick tool changes, safety chuck guard with microswitch, and built in LED work light
- Coolant pump with removable tank and chip filter for clean, continuous operation
- Membrane keypad control (splash and dirt proof) with drilling, tapping, spindle direction, and coolant activation functions
- Emergency stop and lockable main isolator switch for operator safety
- Heavy duty construction featuring a thick walled 200 mm cast iron column and total machine weight of approximately 910 kg for exceptional rigidity and stability
