The GL 2 Planishing Hammer is an essential tool for the manual forming and finishing of sheet metal, widely used in car body restoration, body repairs and any application where metal must be accurately formed to a specific shape. It is particularly effective for achieving an excellent surface finish on pre-formed sheet-metal parts, including the fast and efficient planishing of fine laser-welded seams. For improved access and control, an optional swivelling (movable) shaft is available to support the synthetic inserts, allowing effective processing at edges, corners and confined areas. In addition to surface finishing, the GL 2 is also well suited for relieving distortion and warpage after bending operations. The Planishing Hammer GL 2 is available as a kit with wall holder or as a complete kit supplied in a practical storage case, ensuring convenient organisation and easy access to tooling.
