Each machine is constructed using high-grade Meehanite cast iron, providing outstanding rigidity and vibration damping for consistently smooth finishes. Precision ground and hand scraped slideways ensure long term accuracy, while the spindle, powered by a dynamically balanced motor, delivers stable operation even under heavy loads.

Kent's grinders feature user friendly controls, automatic feed systems, and magnetic chucks that enhance both ease of use and operator safety. Available in a wide range of sizes from compact models for small parts to larger machines for industrial scale work these surface grinders are ideal for everything from light duty sharpening to high precision die and mold work. The AH series is a 2-axis automatic surface grinder with manual hand feed on the Z axis, offering an affordable and user friendly solution that is easy to learn and operate. The AHD series is a 3 axis automatic surface grinding machine featuring a flange mounted spindle that delivers high precision, strong rigidity, and maintenance free operation. All major components are constructed from high quality cast iron, ensuring excellent stability, superior rigidity, and enhanced damping capacity. The column is designed with a double layer structure to provide greater torsion resistance and cutting efficiency. The slideways on the X and Y axes are coated with Turcite B and hand-scraped to ensure smooth, accurate movement and long-term consistency. An advanced hydraulic system with an independent oil tank minimizes heat dissipation and vibration transmission to the machine. The easy-to-use control panel is conveniently located for quick and intuitive operation. Users can effortlessly set up operating cycles such as cutting amount and infeed times using the pre-set system, with the table stopping automatically once the cycle is complete. The electromagnetic chuck comes equipped with a control box that allows the clamping force to be adjusted based on part load and accuracy requirements. Additionally, the rapid mode on the Z axis enables quick tool positioning, and in the AHD series, the vertical feed on the Z axis offers 0.002 mm per graduation of the handwheel.
